Welcome to Langstrasse!

The Langstrasse neighbourhood is the pulsating heart of Zurich, a creative pacemaker fostering new design, inventiveness and originality. Even though this district – which is proud of its multifaceted culture – likes to assume a metropolitan air, it is still distinguished by its individual character and local colour. Here you can find some of the most exciting and, also, some of the most surprising stores. Their look, style and ideas are completely different from those of a downtown store or shopping mall. At Kreislauf 4+5, more than 90 stores and studios from this bustling area call attention to themselves.

You are invited to get to know Zurich's unconventional creative district over the weekend of the 14/15 May 2011, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Sunday shopping).

With maps of the district and editorial articles, the Kreislauf guidebook accompanies you through the 4th and 5th districts and includes short portraits of all participating shops and stores.

There are guided tours with well-known personalities such as Christa de Carouge, Hannes Hug, Michèle Roten, Yannick Aellen, Laurence Antiglio, Daniel Freitag, and others also who will be taking you to their favourite stores.

The Architekturforum at Brauerstrasse 16 will be the official Kreislauf meeting point where you can enjoy a drink and food over the whole weekend. Be sure not to miss the exhibition of photographic works about the district!
